Step 1: Open the Search Bar

Navigate down to the Search icon on your Taskbar (it looks like a magnifying glass).

Step 2: Type “Settings”

Start typing the word settings. As soon as you type the first few letters (often just “S-E”), you will see System Settings appear in the search results.

Step 3: Click and Open

Click on System Settings. This will launch the main window, giving you access to all available configuration options, neatly organized in a menu on the left-hand side.

You can adjust your time zone, and crucially, your regional settings. For example, if your region defaults to the wrong country, you can easily select the correct option (like changing from Dublin to Ireland, as we showed in the video!).

This is a fantastic feature set designed to make your PC easier to use, especially if you have vision or mobility concerns.

Under Accessibility, you can adjust things like Visual Effects.
We highly recommend trying to make the mouse clicker bigger or increasing the font size to ensure text on your screen is comfortable to read.

8. Windows Update

Keeping your system updated is vital for security and stability.

Click on Windows Update to check for new security patches and features.
If updates are available, you can initiate the install right from this screen (just like we did in the tutorial!).
